Check out more fun ideas from John and Danita Thomas, the Kid Concoctions Couple.

  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • Food coloring
  • Paintbrush
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and cold water. Stir in as many drops of food coloring as you need to get your desired color. Repeat this process for each paint color. Use a paintbrush to make fun designs on the sidewalk or driveway. To wash the paint off, simply spray the area with water.

Cell Phone Accesories

I was at the cell phone store the other day to have them look at my broken phone, and the guy managed to sell someone about 4 accessories for their cell phone (Cover, charger, etc) for about $100.  AMAZING!  I use to work at a cell phone place, and while they sell those things for $20+, it only costs them about $2.

I found this website, http://www.cellphoneshop.net.  I just looked, and I can buy a car charger for my phone for $2.99.  Memory cards are as cheap as $3.79, phone covers are $2.99 (which would have been nice BEFORE I dropped my phone and cracked the screen) and anything else you might need, they sell for CHEAP.

Right now they have free shipping going on, but that's not always the case.  Even with shipping, they're still dirt cheap.  So buy a few and sell them to your ignorant friends!  (Just kidding)

And each year, they are never able to announce it for security purposes, but there has (so far) always been an appearance from...
...the B-2 Stealth bomber.
It has made an appearance the last 4 years, so I bet it'll be there this year too!
It's an amazing show, and it's free. You can bring your lunch, but no coolers or back packs are allowed on the property.  You can carry it in or go back to your car to eat.  Or, there are many vendors there you can buy food from.
Don't miss it!!  It's pretty loud, so you may want ear plugs for your kids.  But Josh didn't have any last year (except at nap time) so you're ok with out them too.

Funny Putty

1 T liquid starch
Food coloring
2 T white glue
Plastic Easter egg or zip bag

1.       Mix white glue and food coloring together in a small bowl.
2.       Pour liquid starch into a second small bowl.  Slowly pour the glue mixture on top of the liquid starch.
3.       Allow the concoction to stand for 5 minutes or until the glue absorbs the liquid starch.
4.       Remove putty from bowl and knead. (At first may look like a mistake, but it isn’t.  The more you knead the putty, the better consistency will be)
5.       Store funny putty in plastic Easter egg or zip bag.

CUTE Mother's Day Card Idea

"I Love You This Much Card":
It's super easy...

1. Trace your child's hand, then cut out two copies. My paper was double sided so I made sure that when the thumbs match up - the yellow side would be inside, and the blue side would be outside.

2. Cut out a strip of paper and fold it accordion style. Use letter rub-ons or stickers to add the words "I Love You" on the outside, and "This Much" on the strip of paper.
3. Glue the ends of your accordion strip on the insides of the hands and your card is done. :)

Filing Cabinet

The following article was found HERE:
Here's what my filing cabinets looked like before (YUCKY!  RUSTY!)
And here they are after (I think they're FABULOUS!!!)
I took all the hardware off the filing cabinet and painted them with a glossy black paint. The paint came from Walmart...it was already premixed and came in a quart size. Then I used a 12 X 12 piece of cardstock and traced a template for where the hardware needed to be. I used the template to trace on my pretty black and white scrapbook paper. Then I used spray adhesive to put the paper on the cabinet. I put a coat of Modge Podge over the paper and after it dried I put the hardware back on. Hope this helps! Email me if you have more questions!
